This site was created by me feeling the need to increase exposure to our radio hobby. Hopefully, we will become a site that will list local events such as our meet and greet events we’ve held in the past. Also, I would like to put together a better program of Elmers testing materials and the truly low cost of entering into the world of amateur radio.
There are a lot of misconceptions out there and I’m amazed at the adults, even seniors, who have never heard of amateur radio. But yet, radio service plays an extremely important part in disasters all around the world. Then the fun of contacting other operators around the world using a simple wire antenna like Marconi probably did in the beginning of all radio.
So I’m looking forward to everybody’s comments, support, and efforts to help keep the hobby growing. There will be more to come as this site is developed. 73s and happy radioing.
