Beautiful day for operating outdoors. Competing with Nebraskaland days was quite a challenge but not a loss. Kevin KØKDC was helping out most of the afternoon. Ryan invited Jeremy KCØNUK. His wife and boys came out. Jeremy’s son Jackson took on 2 meters like an pro, contacting Jared NØSPC. Then he made contact with Mike WA7SKG from out of state visiting North Platte. He stopped by for a while.
The park was unusually quiet for a Saturday, but a few people stopped to see what we were doing. First time for me to operate in the field without electricity and a permanent antenna.
Radio, cookies, great weather and friends made for a great time. Thanks to all who helped out.
